Dana Lockhart, Ph.D. is the founder of Lockhart Consulting, a workforce development consultancy based in Porto, Portugal. Drawing on more than 20 years of experience across business management, education, project leadership, and research, she works with construction and engineering organizations to strengthen workforce performance. Throughout her career, Dana has led complex projects, designed professional learning programs, and collaborated with organizations to improve workforce outcomes. Her research has been published and presented at national and international conferences, reflecting her commitment to bridging research and practice. Growing up in a construction family gave Dana an early appreciation for the people, communication, and coordination behind successful projects—a perspective that continues to shape her work today. Her approach emphasizes practical, evidence-based workforce development that reflects the realities of the work itself and supports stronger, safer, and more collaborative project environments.
